Spotters are small meerkat like creatures on Shear. They make a high pitched scream upon seeing the Monster before fleeing and burrowing underground.
The scream that Spotters emit can be heard from extreme distances by the hunters (at least 260 meters). Spotters will scream when they see a sneaking monster and they will attempt to scream when they are killed. Pouncing a spotter does not prevent their scream. When playing as the Monster, this creature is best avoided or killed suddenly and from a distance.

Perks[]
The Elite Spotter buff provides 100% increased smell range to the monster (140m total) and allows the hunters to see all living and decaying lifeforms through any obstructions for 40 meters. These lifeforms will be colorcoded by aggressiveness.
